That’s it for 2002. They were the two best vacations I’ve ever taken. What about next time? I have plans:
I’ll have a bigger memory card for my camera and I’ll take my G3 notebook to download all my pictures at the end of the day. There are so many pictures that I won’t let get away. Back to Asakusa for monja and biru with my friends at that same little room. I’m sure the mochinushi won’t mind if we fall asleep on the cushions. And it would be great if they would let me try to play along at a RLTCB rehearsal. I’m practicing!
Reservations for the Ghibli Museum, for sure, like making a pilgrimage. Maybe a studio tour...
I’ll have to wander a bit more to the East and across the river. I’ve hardly seen Tokyo.. Osaka, for shopping in the antique stores. I want to meet Ryonosuke and get to see Natsuko’s smile again. And to get there, I’ll get to ride the Shinkansen.
Concerts? Impossible to predict, but I would really like to see The Brilliant Green, Matsuura Aya, Bird, and just hang out more in live houses. TV? You’d think I could get invited to a taping... how else am I going to see Tomosaka Rie?
I should be able to recognize house specialties from the exterior of the restaurants next time, so I’ll be a bit less hesitant about walking through the door when I’m tired and hungry.
I can see this might go on for a bit...
Sumimasen. Gomenasai. Sayonaa!
