A hill crowded with embassies and pretty houses hidden behind their walls and gardens. Streets roam with the logic of noodles. Modern aluminum-and-glass designs nestle beside fine cement-and-tile multi-storey villas. And there, along a tiny lane, crouched a retired store, drowsing in the sun, from an era when buildings stood against the weather with wood and translucent paper. The kids were there just in spirit.
