Did I mention it was cold? I was dressed for Autumn, but it was certainly Winter. It rained enough to justify a 500 yen umbrella,
but most days were grey and crisp and chilly. Not unlike San Francisco. Incognito as I was, I could afford to wear a wool hat,
with several sweaters under my rainproof jacket. And gloves. And a scarf. And two pairs of sox. I looked so out-of-town.
Early one morning, outside my window, a few flakes of snow drifted down, lighter than feathers. Almost as if it was too cold
for the others to leave the clouds above.
